WTF why isn't there a oober happy dance emoticon? Lame.

gorgon524- 03-08-2008
Congrats. I remember when I got my licence. That was easy.

I got a really bored cop for my -*test*-('"). xD I just did a three-point-turn and changed lanes.

Felt really anti-climactic.

Kikyo's END- 03-08-2008
Ha ha mine was somewhat anti-climatic too. I just kept doing right turns. XD

Rei- 03-08-2008
Congrats KE!

I loved my driver's -*test*-('"). All I had to do was a few turns, two lane changes, a three-point turn, and stop at the intersections and traffic lights. Pretty stress-free.

*Tragic*Priestess*- 03-09-2008
wth? You guys had it easy.

I had to do lane changes, left and right turns, 3 point turns, PARALLEL parking, (F*#@) and reverse park to end it off... oh and sometimes emergency parking.

Thats how they ALWAYS are for us inupalace/19.gif

bah. hum. BUG!

But congrats none-the-less.

P.S. I heard there was a quota the examiners have to reach per month, and people say that if you go in the first week of the month you have a higher chance of passing as opposed to going towards the end or maybe even middle of the month?
Any truth to this?

Backwards Blues- 03-09-2008
Basically, the RMV realized you don't need to be able to do half of that to be a good driver.

I've never heard of a quota. Maybe in Canada, but I know that's true of tickets here. Cops have a quota of moving violations (speeding, parking, etc.) they have to give per month. So watch out when it gets towards the end of the month. xD

Ha ha awww poor TP.

gorgon524- 03-09-2008
I dont think there is a quota here in NY. My personal instructer said he only had one of his students fail that month. They probably do look into exstreames though. Like too many passing or too many failing to see why this is happening.

Anyways for my driving -*test*-('"), it was acually quite difficult. I just said it was easy, because my training prepared me completly for it. I had to parallel park a hill and no less down hill. So in order to get behind the car I had to give it gas because the idle of the car was not high enough to move the car. That was the hardest part of the -*test*-('") but I did it. I can acually just about parallel park anywhere. I use it from time to time to get into those front strips on the streets where small shops are.

*Tragic*Priestess*- 03-09-2008
^ thats where parallel parking usually comes in handy.. inupalace/=P.gif

I forgot about uphill/downhill parking...I think I had to do one of those, but I can't quite remember. Those are simple enough. I hate parallel and reverse. So annoying.

gorgon524- 03-09-2008
Try having a stick shift ^-^;; once you get used to it, its no biggy... But trying to come off from a stop on a hill thats still on a incline >.>''.

*Tragic*Priestess*- 03-09-2008
Ah...standard. Whatta female dog! lol

I tried it once, and oh my god. Major failure.

gorgon524- 03-09-2008
lol. I had my hard times with standard... las-*test*-('") um.. 3 days? lol. After I got my lienence, since my hand me down care broke down, we (Dad and I) were looking for a car for me. This one was great condition and fair priced... one catch though, its was standard. So he taught me how to drive a standard. Not to hard really. Just takes practice.

I've been driving stick since I was 16. I hate it so very much <3

gorgon524- 03-09-2008
aww come on. I love driving stick. It does keep you awake when your driving. Like the fact that you can stop faster than anyone else on the road. Comes in handy when an old man runs out from behind the tailgate of a large truck and your going 50 mph with only about 30 yards to the truck, if that.
