Miho- 05-10-2005
The wind whistled and thru the leaves of the trees. Fallen leaves (which wasn’t a whole bunch) flew up and around her as she walked to the cave. The cave for some time had made her training area. ‘It sure is windy.’ Hizuru thought as she unsheathed her sword. Looking around her she set her sword down. Sitting beside the sword Hizuru decided to do some meditating. ‘Maybe…I should just rest. It’s been three weeks with little rest and lots of training. Maybe…I’ve been pushing myself too hard.’ Thought Hizuru as she rested the body against the cave wall. Slowly she slipped into unconsciousness.
Yuffie looked out from behind a boulder at the sleeping girl. She snickered as her eyes rested upon the girl’s sword. ‘All I need to do is grab the dang thing and use what I’ve learned to escape without leaving any traces of me being here.’ She slowly came out from behind the big rock and quietly made her way over to her. She leaned over the girl and grabbed hold of the hilt. Just as she started lifting it up, the wind howled loudly through the cave. Yuffie’s eyes got big *0_0* and she quickly flipped out of the cave and jumped into a high tree where she would watch the girls every move.
The howling wind blew Hizuru’s hair around and it whipped her in the face. *@ @* she opened her eyes and looked around. “dam wind.” She mumbled getting up. Realizing her sword was gone she looked around frantically. She sensed a surge of power coming from somewhere around her and placing her hands on one of her guns she looked down to the ground and saw footprints. ‘Footprints! Whose though?’ she thought drawing a gun.
Big beads of swear ran down her face. ‘Oh crap, did she figure me out?’ ?-? She slowly and quietly moved further into the tree branches, trying to hide herself better. The sun started to gleam down harder, causing the sword to appear glittery. ‘Oh poopie!’ she thought as her cover was now ruined. She flipped out of the tree and landed in front of the girl. She holds the sword, blade to the girl. “Oh, sorry. Is this yours?” she asks then sneers.
Pulling the gun out and pointing it at Yuffie’s head and slightly lowering her guard as she saw it was human. “Yeah it is.” Said Mihiro grabbing her sword back (or at least trying to). “What are you doing with my sword? You didn’t try to use it did you? And where the below did you come from?!” Mihiro asked confused and trying to control the many noises in her head. ‘dam powers. dam sword.’ Thought Mihiro as she looked at the sneering girl.
Yuffie lets her take the sword but Mihiro doesn’t take it. “As for your questions. I was going to steal it, but the darned wind woke you up! No I wasn’t going to use your sword, I have my own weapon!” she says grabbing hold of her giant shuriken. “What’s the matter? What’s so confusing about this? And what’re you doing here? I’ve adopted this place as my home.”
“I’m here training!” yelled Mihiro raising her gun again. “Your name is ? Answer that!” shouted Mihiro looking at the girl, frustration in her voice and confusion in her eyes. ‘dam it!’ she thought to herself. An expression came over her face. It wasn’t pain, it wasn’t even really explainable but just the way she looked. But even though the pain shot through her body she never once put her gun down. Her eyes shifted to the left. “We’re not alone.” Said Mihiro pulling out a second gun. Pointing it to the left behind Yuffie, she looked at it the figure intently. “Can it be?” she mumbled her voice barely above a whisper.
Walking out from the dense forest shadows, Zalarus proceeded towards two unknown figures in the distance. He hadn’t seen anything move that even resembled a human for three months. His loneliness crept into his unconscious thoughts about two months ago, and since then he had been talking to himself. It was an odd thing, loneliness. He had felt it when he was younger, but this feeling was new. He felt like he needed to belong to something, like he wanted to belong, but hadn’t for over a year. He often wondered what would become of his life if wouldn’t have run away. Coming up to the figures, he was what appeared to be two humans. The younger dressed in tight blue jeans, and a tight black low in front shirt and matching tennis shoes. A bright sliver necklace hung from her throat and he felt attracted to it. He long, platinum hair was up in and the sunlight that peeked through the opening made it appear silver. The older girl was wearing a green shirt exposing her naval. Around her waist she wore tan shorts. Although she was wearing shorts, only her thighs could be seen due to her knee socks. She seemed shocked toward the younger girl near her, but she stood like she felt comfortable, which gave him reason to believe she was not unfamiliar with her surroundings. He felt compelled to ask her about the large sword on her back, but kept his mouth shut and walked into the opening where they stood. “Hello!” He said unsure of how they would react. Zalarus stood upright the two, waiting to see what would become of his presence.
Mihiro pulled her gun away from Yuffie’s head and now pointed both at the new comer. Her heart pounding in her chest as she looked at the guy. Her eyes studied him carefully. “Hello.” She replied back looking into his eyes. As she looked into his brown eyes she lowered her guns slightly. Then she broke the gaze with him and glanced at Yuffie. “And seriously who are you?” she asked pointing a gun back to Yuffie. She glanced at him again and gave a brief smile. The smile faded fast and she looked at Yuffie again. (Is funny how both girls have weapons drawn and yet the guy hasn’t drawn his yet.) “My name is Mihiro I guess that answers all your questions. Now answer mine.” Mihiro said a small smile slipping onto her face.
Still holding Mihiro’s sword at her, she reaches behind her and grabs her giant suriken. “Yuffie.” She replies. She looks to the guy from the corner of her eye, “What do you want? Can’t you see we’re a little busy here?!” she backs away slowly from the two. “As I said, this is my territory, trespassing much?” She nods to herself after a while of thinking lets go of the shuriken then stabs the sword into the ground. “Take your sword and leave. This is the only chance I’ll give you. And as for you,” she turns towards the stranger, “Next time you feel like being rude, don’t come here! There’s a town a few miles away, go to the tavern or do whatever!” she flips onto a big boulder and snickers while pointing north. “There’s your exit, I suggest you take it…”
Mihiro smiled, put her guns away and looked at the guy. “I’m going to the town. Come with me, if you want or you can stay with Yuffie.” Said Mihiro then she turned to Yuffie. “As for you Yuffie, we’ll finish this later. I’m sure you’ll be a worthy opponent. So I guess we can find out how well my training is going. And whether it actually pays off.” Said Mihiro running up to her sword and pulling it out of the ground. Her head was throbbing, her heart had gone back to its normal pace but she still looked at Yuffie, “I suppose, see you around Yuffie!” she said sheathing her sword. “Rude? I don’t think you were.” Said Mihiro walking up to Zalarus. Mihiro looked at his eyes and noticed a slight blueness to them. So she stood up on tiptoe to get a better look at his eyes. “How strange.” She mumbled to herself, still trying to look at his eyes…well get a better look at his eyes. She smiled after a moment. “I like your eyes.” She said returning to normal height. She glanced toward Yuffie and smiled, “I like her personality too.” Said Mihiro before she ran off toward the north. “Meet me later at The Springs! That’s my territory if you really want to know!” Mihiro’s voice rang out to the other two!

Siren-Chan: That’s the end of our first chapter.
Mihiro-Chan: Yeah sorry it took so long to get it started.
Siren-Chan: Hope your having a blast reading it though.
Mihiro-Chan: Yeah.

Ok, I only read the first paragraph. Thats cause I kept getting lost in it. Maybe, in future chapters, you should make smaller paragraphs, or put spaces between each couple of lines.

btw: I LOVE your avie!

thanks...does double spacing work? Well heres the second chapter.

Chapter 2
Yuffie smiled to herself as she watched Mihiro run towards the town. She ran back
into the cave and grabbed the gil that she had hidden in the natural hole. She
counted it. “Only 48? I coulda swore I had more…” she thought to herself as she
deserted the newbie and began on her way to The Springs. The sun began to set
when she opened the door to the overly heated and rowdy tavern. She looked
around for Mihiro. ‘Good beat her to the finish line!’ she thought as she took a seat.
She looked around and saw an abandoned cloak, so she grabbed it and put it on,
raising the hood over her head. “Incognito.” She thought aloud. She raised her
money to the bartender and ordered some fresh…of whatever was most cheap,
which ended up being water. ‘Now I wait for her to make her arrival, if she indeed is
coming.’ She thought to herself as she hid her face into the hood.

Mihiro hid behind the bar doors that led to the kitchen. Peeking her head out
she looked for both Yuffie and Zalarus. Not seeing either of the two she felt a little
depressed. Something tapped her back. Chills ran up her spine as she looked back
behind her to see the owner of the tavern holding an elegant and very beautiful
dress up for her to go change into. “Okay I’m going.” She said unenthusiastically an
grabbing the black dress. The dress was strapless (A/N: Like my prom dress) and
had glitter on it. (A/N: Also like my prom dress. And me!) “You know that the
customers come to hear you sing. Or see you dance. But your not old enough to
dance like that.” Said the owner as Mihiro walked to the bathroom where she would
change out of her clothes and into the dress. While changing out of her clothes and
into the dress Mihiro thought of the new people she met. Putting her hair up nicely
she looked around for the shoes she was to wear with her dress. When she couldn’t
find them she let out a cry of frustration. The owner’s 26-year-old daughter ran into
the bathroom and helped Mihiro finish getting ready.

Zalarus walked into the tavern as the owner stood at the front of the tavern,
next to a grand piano and a large mantle fireplace. Walking around so many people
made him a little nervous but he head remembered the reason he had come there in
the first place. “Ladies and dear gentlemen, here she is. Our young singer, the
beautiful Mihiro Yakasume.” A man called out. ‘He must be the owner.’ Thought
Zalarus as he quietly took a seat to watch what was going on.

Mihiro took a deep breath as she slowly walked over to where the owner had
been standing. Placing a hand to the necklace around her neck. As her eyes quickly
glanced over the crowd she saw Zalarus. Inside she smiled, but kept a calm face on
the outside. She folder both hand in the middle of her chest, took a deep breath and
she began to sing. The song was sad and mellow, something somewhat enchanting
to some of those around her. “Will you take my hand to lead me along.” Mihiro sang.

Zalarus glanced at the girl in the dress and was unable t believe that that was
the same girl he had just met several minutes ago. His eye ran over every single
part of her body as he watched her sing and the noisy tavern fall into a dead silence.

Yuffie slowly looked over to Mihiro and sipped some of her water. ‘She sounds
good.’ Yuffie thought to herself. She put her hood up more, raised her glass to the
beautiful singer, then downed the water. She stood to leave, but heard a voice. “Now
who’s being rude?” she turned to see Zalarus standing behind her, and giving her
the evil eye. “Well well well, look who decided to show up! Outta my way, I’ve
already gotten what I came for.” Zalarus raised a brow. “And what would that be?”
Yuffie slipped to the right, but he moved with her. “None or your business!” she
shouted as the singing stopped. Both Yuffie and Zalarus looked around shyly. “Now
look what you did.” She said readjusting the hood and walking around him to exit
the tavern. Zalarus shrugged, turned to Mihiro and began clapping. Soon the whole
tavern rose in cheers. Yuffie turned to the people before opening the door. She
looked around, saw a wallet and crept by it. ‘Ooh, money.’ She thought as she
quickly grabbed it and snuck out of the obnoxiously loud and happy tavern.

Mihiro blushed as the clapping and cheers rang out through the tavern. Slowly
she walked away as the owner took place at the front of the tavern again. Mihiro
acted like she was going to get a drink and walked over to Zalarus. Grabbing his
hand and leading him outside to where Yuffie had gone. Stepping outside her heels
making clicking noises on the ground (pavement) as she stepped. She looked
around for Yuffie, found her retreating form and whistled.

Zalarus looked at the girl beside him and smiled. “You’re a good singer. What
was the title of that song?” he asked hoping the girl would reply to his question. “Its
call Blinding.” Replied Mihiro looking up at him. He smiled as she looked up at him.
“Oh, I like your song. Sing it again.” Said some drunken old perverted man. Mihiro
looked at him then moved a couple feet as the guy stated to walk toward her. “Go
back into the tavern. I’ll be singing again a little later.” Said Mihiro as she stepped
behind Zalarus. The drunken man smiled and stumbled into the tavern. “Are you
really singing that song again?” asked Zalarus turning around to face her. Mihiro
nodded. “I’m also singing another song shortly. But…I wanted to talk to you and
Yuffie.” Said Mihiro. “You can talk to me anytime tonight. I’ll be here all night.” Said
Zalarus smiling. “Okay.” Said Mihiro her ice blue eye and her ice green eye sparkling
slightly as the light hit her. “My name is Zalarus.” He said as he bent forward and
placed a gentle kiss upon her cheek. Mihiro blushed as she received the gentle kiss
and looked around for Yuffie.
The owner threw the door open. “Mihiro get back in there! Your singing is up after Natasha’s dancing.” Said the owner (A/N: haven’t thought of a name for him
yet! Natasha is his 26-year-old daughter) “Okay.” Said Mihiro as she looked around
one final time for Yuffie. The owner walked back into the tavern and as the door
opened Mihiro heard the men howling as Natasha danced for them. “Well we best get
you back inside.” Said Zalarus smiling at Mihiro. Mihiro nodded and turned to go
toward the tavern. Reaching down the front of her dress, she pulled out a small
leather pouch and left it above the tavern door for Yuffie. Zalarus placed a hand on
her shoulder. Mihiro turned her head in the direction his touch was coming from.
Soon Zalarus was right behind her his arms around her and her head resting against
his chest. Closing her eyes she rested her head and took a deep breath. “Nervous?”
he asked resting his chin on her head. “A little.” She replied. “It’s a lot cooler out
here than in there.” Said Zalarus trying to distract her. “Yeah, but I feel a little
strange without my weapons.” She replied. Zalarus chuckled. Mihiro turned around
to face him. When she was facing him he put his hands on her wait/hips and pulled
her closer to him. She slipped her arms up and around his neck. He lowered his
face to hers and gently kissed her on the lips.

Mihiro-Chan: Here’s the end of the second chapter. And it ends with a kiss.

Siren-Chan: Yeah…just great.
