I played Dirge of Cerberus finally. I went to my cousin's house and I was really excited. My emotions did a 180 when I played it though. MY GOD.

1. Complete Devil May Cry ripoff-
He has the same weapons with the same attributes and basically the same upgrading system. The missions are similar and so is the gameplay and.. well.. EVERYTHING.

2. Graphics-
This wasn't a huge complaint, but they could've done better in the graphics department. One thing that really urked me is that Vincent's hair looked like he emptied 10 bottles of hairgel in it. Also some minor graphic glitches, but that's about it.

3. It was too easy-
I only played the last quarter of it, where all the FF7 characters decide to make cameos including everyone's favorite brooding emo who likes to crossdress (Cloud). The boss battles provided no challenge, and I'm positive I wasn't on easy difficulty, because my cousin never plays on easy.

4. Who are these people?-
A bunch of random villains with no real origin all seem to want Vincent dead. I mean I guess there's a backstory, but it doesn't go into much detail.

5. Lack of variety in weapons-
I can complain about this for DMC as well. I want variety in my weapons! The toned down weapon system leaves me still wanting more options.

6. The characters all have no emotions at all-
Seriously. What the hell? The only person I saw during my time of play who displayed any emotion was Vincent. I expected the emotional baggage I have come to expect from FF games, but the characters all seemed like robots.

THINGS I LIKE

1. Extra-
After you beat the game, there's like a bajillion missions to do. That rocks hard

2. Vincent-
Come on. Seriously. It's Vincent

3. Bosses-
The boss battles were interesting enough. I face a bunch of random villains named after colours in italian and spanish. It was pretty funny.

4. CGI cutscenes- The CGI cutscenes were interesting. All 4 of them. Each being about 15 seconds.... okay this is a complaint as well.

Terrible, terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE GAME.

Created to feed more of the fantard obsession with FFVII, which wasn't the grea-*test*-('") game ever shat out in itself.

It was like Devil May Cry without the fun, without the good controls, without the involving scenery, and without the feeling of granduer.

Essentially, it should have never happened.

That's why it's called a sequel. Don't forget sequels usually suck compared to their prequels, although there are some exceptions.
