ok last night i was watching a G4 special exclusive on sex in video games and they brought up the Hot Coffee mod for the Grand Theft Auto San Andreas game. (For those who dont know what the "Hot Coffee" mod is i aint gona explain it unless i get persmision from the admins becuase i really dont want to get banned....agian). but anyway it caused all this controversy over it and parents started complaining that it was a bad influence on todays youth. and congress or sombody high up there got invovled in it and Rock Star got into trouble over it and the game had to be taken off the shelves and givin an AO (Adults Only) rating.


Now what i think is parents should just STFU! i mean come on, You knew that you could shoot ppl, steal cars, etc. You knew that you could Pick up a hoooker take her someplace have sex then kill her and get all your money back. and know your gona get pissed off just becuase you can bang some woman in a mini game. animated sex and nutity has always bin in games since the freakin Atari and now your goan start whining becasue some character shows her tits in a game....jesus christ

I think what the perants meant is that there kids are not ready to know about stuff like that,even I think its not a good idea,some kids in my class have the game and yes they do get bad influince from it,my friend said all these bad words right in front of the teacher and got suspended from school.

It is understandable [to me] why parents are complaining about the game. I have played the game myself and I do find some parts of it demeaning and pointless but still with standable. We are all different people and have different tolerance levels to the game. The game has been pulled off the shelves in Australia to make it more suitable for the rating it has been given (MA, Matured Audiences only) and I don't think the game would be the same because 99% is just sexual themes and violence. Next thing you know GTA:SA will feature Barney the Dinosaur in it <.<;; In a way, I do think it does give a bad-but-subtle influence on the less-tolerant gamers but people also have to recognise that most of the game involves illegal acts. They should also recognise the difference between a game and reality. For the parents, they are just simply concerned for our welfare and wish for us to grow up with more class than a video game that shows that sex, drugs and violence is everything in life.

I think this situation is about as appealing as poop from a bull! Parents are making this fuss about GTA in hopes that nobody realizes that the real problem is bad parenting. The people who talk badly about GTA are, for the most part, idiots and jerks. Also, Yig is the coolest person on earth and I wish I was him.

i dont know why but if anyone has played or seen the game leisure suit larry magna cum laude, they will know that has more sex scenes then gta: sa and no one complained about that game. plus that game is M rated too, so why did they make a big deal of the hot coffee mod and not leisure suit larry? its BS and it wont stop kids from really getting it cuz they could have an older sister or brother who would get it for them anyways.

I think that if they want to make games with sex in them then they should hire the japanese. With all of the bloody hentai games they do over there it would make loads to bring them to the us. Still, never said it would be good because I think that its better to just play the game and save the other stuff for when your older.
