Ya know, if you think closely... everyone that has tried to bring a human back to life have suceeded. Just not as humans, but humanculi. The guy that tried to revive his wife: she came back as Lust. I was thinking of another one.. but forgot it... as for the rest I still dont know.

Do u guys think that someone will try to bring a person back to life in the real world, like in the book "Frankenstein"?

That'd be quite creepy, about the closest thing to that right now is cloning, but thats not REALLY bringing someone back to life, just making a person with the same genetic code.

and @ Jeff and Nothingness.. can one of you tell me WHAT they created when they tried to bring their mother back? I remember seeing something really evil in one of the flashbacks or something Ed had I think, and right around the beginning of the series when it showed them first trying it I remember something that looked like a ribcage or something like that.

In the manga they created something like a demented humonculis. Ed killed though in panic.

Also the thing they created was actually Al!!! DUM DUM DUM!!! Since it pretty much used most of his body it was practically him. Once he gets his memories back he said that he saw everything through the things eyes.

Yea, in one of the first couple episodes eith that preacher in it, where Rose's boyfriend died or something, and the precher supposedly brought him back to life, and all it could say was a gurgly "rose"
